 Cleaning Day

Today is the cleaning day of all cleaning days. Well that's what it seems to me. lol So far I've scrubbed the bathroom, swept and washed the kitchen and bathroom floors. While that's drying I'm going to finish picking up things in the living room, empty the garbage (that's Sweetie's chore but he's in bed and I don't feel like waiting for him to get up), and hopefully by then the floors will be dry so I can jump in the shower.

I was hoping for another day at home relaxing and playing in PSP creating some new stats, but now my MIL is coming up for a visit. There's a trailer in a trailer part nearby that is having an open house. From the outside it looks pretty and pretty well kept. She's going to look into buying that if she can have her cats and dog with her. The trailer is only $15,000 and with her messy divorce she'll be lucky if she can get that. I'm hoping everything works out for her. She's already had a realtor look at her current house and said she needs to pack up most of her personal decorations as houses sell better when there's fewer things on the wall. This is a hard step for her but she's doing it. She's got several boxes packed away. She's sorting it with stuff that she wants to keep and stuff that she wants to sell in a yard sale. I'm hoping she makes enough at the yard sale to rent a dumpster again this summer. We did this a couple years ago and no joke we got rid of 4 tons of crap! yes you read, 4 tons. She filled this huge dumpster twice and still had more to go but by that point it was around $800 and she decided to call it quits for that year. Her cousin from Maryland that she's close to was up here and helped. She even paid for the majority of the dumpster because she knew how hard it was for Mom to get rid of all that stuff. As hard as it was for her, she really needs to do it again.

Well I'm off to go check the floors cause I'm all sweaty here and I want a shower BADLY. I'm scared to smell myself at this point!

I hope you all have a really great day and that it's not too hot for you. :)

A Song For A Late Saturday Night

This is a song that has multiple meanings.  It's the song The Gambler by Kenny Rogers.  According to the words itself it's about gambling.  "You've got to know when to hold 'em, Know when to fold 'em, Know when to walk away, Know when to run."  It's also about life, knowing when to stay, when to get rid of something, when to run away and leave something.  Well you get the picture.  :)

Here's a video of Kenny Rogers performing this song.

Kenny Rogers "The Gambler"

On a warm summer's eve
On a train bound for nowhere
I met up with the gambler
We were both too tired to sleep
So we took turns a-starin'
Out the window at the darkness
The boredom overtook us, he began to speak

He said, "Son, I've made a life
Out of readin' people's faces
Knowin' what the cards were
By the way they held their eyes
So if you don't mind my sayin'
I can see you're out of aces
For a taste of your whiskey
I'll give you some advice"

So I handed him my bottle
And he drank down my last swallow
Then he bummed a cigarette
And asked me for a light
And the night got deathly quiet
And his faced lost all expression
He said, "If you're gonna play the game, boy
You gotta learn to play it right

You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
Know when to run
You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
When the dealin's done

Every gambler knows
That the secret to survivin'
Is knowin' what to throw away
And knowin' what to keep
'Cause every hand's a winner
And every hand's a loser
And the best that you can hope for
Is to die in your sleep"

And when he finished speakin'
He turned back toward the window
Crushed out his cigarette
And faded off to sleep
And somewhere in the darkness
The gambler he broke even
And in his final words
I found an ace that I could keep

You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run
You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
When the dealin's done

You've got to know when to hold 'em
(When to hold 'em)
Know when to fold 'em
(When to fold 'em)
Know when to walk away
And know when to run
You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
When the dealin's done

You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run
You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
When the dealin's done

Well I hope your day was great and that you have a wonderful Sunday.  :)

 The Beach Test

Thought I would toss in a little Friday quiz for you all.  I haven't done one in awhile and thought it was past time.  Usually I only remember by visiting Mac's blog.  lol  So thanks Mac!  :)

What the Beach Test Says About You
You like people, but you're careful about who you get close to. Friendship is important to you... so important that you aren't just friends with anyone.

You fall in love with ease and confidence. Even if you've had bad experiences in the past, each new love is a reason to start completely over.

You are deeply passionate about several things in your life. You're not passionate about much... and the few passions you have are truly obsessions.

Your sense of humor is goofy and silly. You are good at making almost anyone laugh.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend.  :)

 Computer Problems

Well I'm certainly having a fun time of things. My computer has started revving up and then restarting all on it's own. I'm not too happy because I know this is just going to mean another 2 weeks without my desktop as I'm going to have to back it up tomorrow and take it into the shop. My Sweetie had this happened to him and he needed his hard drive replaced. I've already had this hard drive replaced once. I do know for one thing, I'm NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER... well you get the point... EVER going to buy a Gateway piece of shit again! I'm not happy right now and I feel like I'm going to scream. I know I know, I should take a breath close my eyes and count my blessings for everything that I have that is working right.

I think I'm going to go get a popsicle and read a book. I want to finish reading my current book before I start my Laurell K. Hamilton book. I've read her Merry Gentry series, everything that is out anyway. Now I'm borrowing her Anita Blake series. I hope it's just as good. Ah well, I'm going to go relax. Have a good day tomorrow everyone.

Polar Bears and Dogs at Play

Hey guys, I hope you are all having a wonderful day.  A friend of mine shared this video with me and I'd like to share it with you.  It's amazing how these giant bears are so gentle with the dogs.  You won't regret watching this video.  :)
