 Sunday Clothes (A Joke)

A little boy was walking down a dirt road after church one Sunday afternoon when he came to a crossroads where he met a little girl coming from the other direction. "Hello" said the little boy.

"Hi" replied the little girl.

"Where are you going"? asked the little boy.

"I've been to church this morning and I'm on my way home", answered the little girl.

"Me too", replied the little boy. "I'm also on my way home from church".

"Which church do you go to?" asked the little boy.

"I go to the Baptist church back down the road" replied the little girl. "What about you?"

"I go to the Methodist church back at the top of the hill", replied the little boy. They discover that they are both going the same way so they decided that they'd walk together. They came to a low spot in the road where spring rains had partially flooded the road so there was no way that they could get across to the other side without getting wet.

"If I get my new Sunday dress wet my Mom's going to skin me alive" said the little girl.

"My Mom'll tan my hide too if I get my new Sunday suit wet", replied the little boy.

"I tell you what I think I'll do" said the little girl. "I'm gonna pull off all my clothes and hold them over my head and wade across".

"That's a good idea", replied the little boy. "I'm going to do the same thing with my suit".

So they both undressed and waded across to the other side without getting their clothes wet. They were standing there in the sun waiting to drip dry before putting their clothes back on when the little boy finally remarked.

"You know, I never did realize before just how much difference there really is between a Baptist and a Methodist".

Just a little chuckle for ya. :)

 Wow! I've been busy

But not here. lol Thursday I left my house in the morning and I won't be back until tomorrow sometime. Sweetie and I have gone to the hotel and we've been go totally relaxing and having fun. I've downloaded lots of art (lots more to go). I got some new games for my ipod, got a new episode of Friends on there too. I was hoping they'd have Charmed on there and the whole series of Friends. Ah well.

Tonight we went to the Haunted House at Fort Knox and it wasn't as good as all the hype (they advertised alot). There were some parts that were a little scary but mostly I was just trying not to fall (everything was wet and slippery cause it was raining). They had these strobe lights in a couple places and they kept making me lose my balance. Not fun. They had a thing about chain saws too. There were several people going after us with chain saws. I did NOT like that one bit. On our way out I almost fell because it was so slippery. I'm rather disappointed about the whole thing really. About the only thing that was really neat were the costumes and make up. They at least spent alot of time on that. The participants seemed to be tired of it though, many were just sitting there or standing there not doing anything scary or freaky.

Sadly, tomorrow we go home, and I'm going to miss being here. We are starting to want to move to this town if we could get a place. We are about half an hour from the a super walmart, just minutes away from a grocery store, and from our favorite chinese food restaurant, plus a subway is up the road.

Well, I'm going back to downloading art, just thought I would step in and say hi. :)

Take care all!

 Well he's come and gone

The TV repairman has come and gone. The TV's main board needs to be replaced. Don't know if it's possible with this TV so we may get it replaced totally. Or at least we'd get what they THINK our current tv is worth towards a new tv. Freaking warranties. That is the LAST time we buy from Sears and the LAST time we buy something with a brand we don't recognize without doing research and just because it's a great deal on Black Thursday doesn't mean it's REALLY a great deal. GRRRR

So I'm waiting for the tv repair man...

And he's supposed to be here between 11 and 3. Well he's 2 hours late. I hate having to sit here and be quiet so I can listen for him (for those that don't know, I'm in a basement apartment - my mother-in-law's (MIL's) basement. He called around 3 saying he'd be here between 4 and 4:30. It's now 5 and he's not here yet. She's home so she can look out for him now.

It's been windy today so my dog is freaking out. I've had to medicate her and she's almost out of pills. She's only got half a dose left which means if she needs medicating tonight she'll be ok as she's only allowed 3 pills a day. 2 is her usual dose.

I'm so excited for tomorrow. We are going to the hotel after my Sweetie's appointments. Tomorrow night we'll probably just play around, I'll do some downloading, Friday during the day we'll probably play Guild Wars, Friday night we are going to Fort Knox for a little bit because they made the Fort into a Haunted House. It's going to be SOOOOO scary. I got creeped out when I went there not too long ago during the day time. Parts of the Fort are completely dark in the daytime, we had to bring a flashlight to see anything.

We might stay until Sunday not sure. Right now they don't have a room free at the moment but they put a note on our reservation to save one for us if one becomes available. :) I hope they find one for us.

Well I guess that's it for now. We are watching 28 Days Later and it's seriously messed up. I can't concentrate on this.
